Trent Waldron Half Marathon & 10K

The Trent Waldron 10K & Half Marathon race on May 25, 2024 is fast and flat out and back course set in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska. Race start/finish is at Margaret Eagan Sullivan Park and winding along Chester Creek and the UMed District.

This is a terrific way to kick off Memorial Day weekend and your summer race season. Use a Trent Waldron event to train for a half marathon or a marathon race such as Mayor’s Marathon or Anchorage RunFest later in the year.

Trent Waldron Fund Raising Teams
Participate in supporting the Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition by joining a Fundraising Team with the Trent Waldron race this year. Participants can create a team or join an existing team in RunSignUp. There will be a special award for the team who raises the most funds raised-see the photo of the beautiful glass art award. Don't think you can run a Half Marathon or a 10K race right now? No problem, you can still join a team and help fund raise without registering for the race.  To join a Trent Waldron fund-raising team, click the DONATE Button and create or join an existing team.

Awards
All finishers receive a medal to commemorate the run. The Trent Waldron Half-Marathon issues awards based on age graded times (i.e., times adjusted based on age) for the top three male and female finishers in both the 10K and Half Marathon. We utilize age graded awards (adjusted using USATF calculations) at Trent Waldron to remind people of Marcie Trent, her spirit, and love for running at all ages is out there on the trail with you.

Partnership With Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition. ARC partners with AYCC to put on Trent Waldron and donates a portion of the proceeds to support their programs. You're invited to help fund raise by creating or joining a team when you register. The team that raises the most money will receive an unique glass award created especially for Trent Waldron by Laura Mendola.

Packet Pickup

- Thursday, May 23, 2024 @ Kaladi Brothers Brayton Drive location (6921 Brayton Dr.) upstairs on 2nd Floor 2 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. There will be coffee and hot chocolate, compliments of Kaladi Brothers.

- Event day bib pick up is from 7:45am to 8:45am at West Chester Lagoon, West 15th Street between S and U Street.

Start times
Early wave at 8 AM for participants who anticipate needing more than 3 hours to complete the course.

Half Marathon start at 9 AM
10K start at 9:20 AM.

*You must start at your specified time for race-early starts will result in a disqualification (i.e. a 10K runner may not start at 9am with the Half Marathoners).

Course Rules
**Cut off time to finish is 12 Noon**
Pacers are not allowed on the course!  Any runner who receives assistance from a pacer, other than approved, official pace groups (either on foot or on bicycle), risks being disqualified by the Race Director. We can’t allow dogs due to insurance restrictions.
