“Screen Across America 5K/Kids Race” is a run/walk to raise support and awareness for heart screening events across the USA. It is a fun, family event on a beautiful Saturday morning with all ages and ability levels welcome!

The Anthony Bates Foundation host cardiac screenings in 40 states in the US and support screenings in 12 countries. Over 500,000 youth have been screened by ABF and consistently 5% are found to have life threatening heart issues. Your registration helps support the screening programs, research, and efforts. Be a part of our mission in saving young lives!

Cost: $25, Kids $15 (Register early, prices will increase $5 on 3/17). This event is limited to in size, so register early to save your spot!

All finishers receive a custom finisher Medal. No packet pickup is necessary! Race day check in starts from 6:30 - 7:45 am. The 5K race is scheduled to start at 8:00 am, so please arrive early! The race is chip timed with age group awards in 14 categories and Water, snacks and popsicles will be provided. We adhere to safe COVID protocols at all our events!

The flat canal course is located at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 with overflow parking located at the Lutheran church, just North of the park off 56th Street.

Kids 1 Mile Run (16 and under, live race only): Arrive between 8 - 8:45 am for check in. Start time will be 9 am. Kids may run 1 mile or less to earn their medal. (No timing or awards) Parents should register for the 5K option to run with their child and support the charity please.

Virtual option: If you cannot make the date, you may run your race virtually on any day, time, or course that you choose. Simply report back your finishing time. Virtual race packets will be mailed. (The Kids race IS NOT available as a virtual option).

Our events are both dog and stroller friendly, but the course does include a short trail section that is not paved.
