Cancellation of Dedmon Dash Fundraising Event
Dear Participants,
We want to express our sincerest apologies for the cancellation of the Dedmon Dash fundraising event that was scheduled to take place this Saturday at 10:00 am. We understand that many of you were looking forward to participating in the race, and we deeply regret any inconvenience that this may have caused.
We would like to assure you that all registration fees will be refunded in full, and you can expect to receive your refunds within the next week or so. We understand that this is not the outcome that any of us were hoping for, and we want to assure you that we explored all possible options before making the difficult decision to cancel the event.
Unfortunately, we did not receive as many participant sign ups as estimated to cover the cost of hosting the race. Our priority was to ensure that we could fundraise money for the program successfully, but with the low number of registrations, we would have ended up losing money instead of raising any funds.
We know that many of you had made preparations for the event, and we understand how disappointing this news is. We want to apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment that this may have caused, and we hope that you will continue to support our cause in the future.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we hope to organize more successful events for you to be involved in for the future.

Are you ready to put your running shoes on and join us for a good cause? Our Highlanders are hosting a one-mile race fundraiser, and we need your help to make it a success!
Come join us on Sat April 29, 10:00am for a fun-filled day of running, racing, and making a difference in our community. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to get some exercise, this event is perfect for you. You'll get to meet new people, challenge yourself, and support a great cause all at the same time.
Our event will be held at 101 University Drive, Radford VA 24141, and we'll have plenty of water, volunteers, and music to ensure your safety and a fun time. And the best part? All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Radford University Cross Country/Track & Field, which is vital to our success as a program.

There will be a kid's fun run on the track before the Dash and after, we will gather at the finish for awards and the Radford Rumble!
Course Description: The start begins at the top of University Drive bridge, continues downhill along the riverside for the first half of the mile, then evens out for a loop around the Dedmon Center, to a brief uphill and finish around the track at Cupp Stadium.
